Agrecovery is holding a FREE collection event for the recycling of triple rinsed plastic containers at the following locations: FAIRLIE Whitestone Contracting Ltd, Allandale Rd, Fairlie Thursday 11th October 2012, 10am – 2pm PAHIATUA Gleeson Transport, Jervois Street, Pahiatua Wednesday 17 October 2012, 9am – 4pm Your containers must be: 1-60 litres in size, plastic Empty and triple-rinsed Free from chemical residue inside & out Clean from dirt & other organic contamination Product label left on Lids and wire or plastic pail handles removed From participating brand owners (click here for a list of brand owners) Eligible containers from participating brand owners are free to recycle. A new Agrecovery Container collection site has been opened at Farmlands on Taupo Street in Putaruru. Local farmers, growers, contractors and golf courses can make the most of this recycling programme at the site which will accept plastic containers on Monday to Fridays, from 8am to 4pm. Empty triple rinsed containers, 1 – 60 litres in size, from 57 brand owners of agrichemical, biological, animal health and dairy hygiene products can be recycled for free. Farmlands have been very supportive of the rural recycling programme since it started in 2007, stocking wrap recycling bags in store and helping promote the programmes, as well as now hosting nine Agrecovery collection sites in the North Island.
